DESCRIPTION
The FT1000-DX module is a universal, single channel displacement amplifier designed for use with large capacitive sensors. Typical applications included proximity detection and collision avoidance systems.

More recently, the electronics have been used with custom designed ring sensors as shown above for weight/piston height indication of deadweight pressure gauges.

The FT2000-DX module is a twin channel version of the single channel unit. The electronics are housed in a ruggedised enclosure to cater for a wide range of industrial applications and are designed to operate with sensor temperatures up to 200°C. Power supply is 11-18VDC. System output is 0-10V analogue.

Stated measurement ranges are against metallic surfaces and may be reduced when applied to non-metallic materials. Figures quoted are for CDT100 series sensors calibrated with FT1000-DX or FT2000-DX electronics.
