DESCRIPTION
CDT capacitive sensors have been developed in conjunction with FT1000 series electronics to produce a precision measurement system, which can be applied to a wide range of laboratory and industrial applications.

The sensors are fully guarded to optimise system output and are completely immune to both cable vibration and temperature effects.

Stated measurement ranges are against metallic surfaces and may be reduced when applied to non-metallic materials. Figures quoted are for CDT sensors calibrated with FT1000 series electronics. Sensors should be grounded to earth during normal operation. Larger sensors are available to special order.

High temperature CDT-HT sensors are usually application specific and are custom designed accordingly. Minimum electrode size is typically Ø5mm, with larger versions available up to Ø30mm.
