CDT capacitive sensors have been developed
in conjunction with FT1000 series electronics to produce
a range of precision displacement measurement systems.
The sensors are fully guarded to optimise system output
and are completely immune to both cable vibration and
temperature effects.
High temperature versions are available to special order
for use up to 850°C.
The FT1000-D module is a single channel
capacitive displacement amplifier designed for use with
standard CDT sensors. The FT2000-D module is a twin-channel
version of the single channel unit.
The electronics are housed in a ruggedised enclosure
to cater for a wide range of industrial applications
and are designed to operate with sensor temperatures
up to 200°C. Power supply is 11-18VDC. System output
is 0-10V analogue.
The FT1000-DHT module is a single channel
capacitive displacement amplifier designed for use with
high temperature CDT sensors. The FT2000-DHT module
is a twin-channel version of the single channel unit.
The electronics are also housed in a ruggedised enclosure
and are designed to operate with sensor temperatures
up to 850°C. Power supply is 11-18VDC. System output
is 0-10V analogue.
FT1000 rack-mount electronics are designed
for use with standard CDT sensors and comprise an amplifier
and oscillator, which are housed in a single or multi-channel
ABS enclosure.
The system has the highest performance specification of
the current range and is designed to operate with sensor
temperatures up to 200°C. Power supply is 230VAC, with
115VAC and 12VDC versions available to special order.
System output is 0-10V analogue.
FT1000-RMT electronics are designed
for use with custom designed capacitive sensors for operation
against intermittent targets such as gear teeth or phonic
wheels.
The height sensor has been developed
for use in both laboratory and industrial applications
and is designed to output average disc height, regardless
of any disc wobble or eccentricity.
The FT1000-DX module is a universal, single
channel displacement amplifier designed for use with
large capacitive sensors. Typical applications included
proximity detection and collision avoidance systems.
More recently, the electronics have been
used with custom designed ring sensors as shown above
for weight/piston height indication of deadweight pressure
gauges.
