Fixed-gain linear inductive analogue displacement sensors

Kaman introduces its first fixed-gain analogue sensor. All the high performance expected of a Kaman sensor has been designed into a compact, easy-to-implement system, ideal for automated assembly, test and inspection applications. Kaman has incorporated a number of features to maximise the potential uses. Single-ended input and a fixed-gain output are ideal for set-it and-
forget-it applications.

The sensors are designed to be rugged and reliable, meeting IP-67 specifications, and are ideal for machine shop applications as well as cleanroom environments.

The performance over the full range is defined in this document. Included are the performance specifications over just the first half of the range. This provides the opportunity to satisfy a wide range of performance applications, wherever resolution, repeatability and stability are required.

Due to the underlying physics of inductive displacement measurement, the performance over the first half of the calibrated range is significantly better than than the second half of the range. Table 2 gives performance specifications over the first half of the ranges specified in Table 1
