Vibration Sensor Types

Vibration sensors are used to measure and analyse the vibration levels of various components and the environment of an application.

Vibration sensors are important devices in many devices and industries. They are used for measuring, analysing, displacement, displaying, acceleration and proximity measurements.

Because of the industries which require vibration monitoring, many of the Metrix products hold hazardous area approvals such as ATEX and IECEx as well as CE marks for compliance

Vibration Sensor Types

We offer a full range of Vibration Sensors Types for monitoring different aspects of applications. The types of vibration sensors Ixthus can offer consists of;

Proximity Products – Proximity systems offer a single field configurable package which can work with probes and cables from different manufacturers. We have proximity products which offer TightView for applications with limited clearance.

Vibration Monitors– Vibration monitors are one of our more popular vibration sensors. Local displays, alarm and shut down vibration monitors are available with the ability to communicate using Modbus over Ethernet TC/IP.

Switches – We can offer both electronic and vibration switches which are well suited to a variety of applications within vibration monitoring. These have a hazardous area rating and explosion-proof housings available.

Seismic – Seismic instruments are used to measure structural vibration on components such as bearing housings, piping and other supporting structures.

Shakers – Shakers are used to ensure that Seismic sensors and transmitters have been installed and are working properly to give accurate results. Shakers are used for calibration and help to ensure the maintenance of vibration products is effective.

Portable Sensors – Portable vibration sensors are economical solutions. They are ideal for obtaining radial vibration casing measurements. As with other products, intrinsically safe ratings and hazardous area approvals are available.
